Designed for joy
Our founder Maggie started Sarta in 2006 as a side hustle while studying at Glasgow University. Sarta, means dressmaker in Italian, the name inspired by her beloved extended family. She started by designing scarves and small accessories and selling them in craft fairs and markets. Upon graduation, Maggie opened a small boutique and begun her fulltime creative journey into fashion.
Since those early days, Maggie has grown Sarta into a fashion led lifestyle brand: Sarta&Co. Working closely with a small team of Scottish based designers Maggie continues to design and create colourful clothing, accessories, bags, socks and some hand designed sterling silver jewellery.
Behind The Seams
Our design team has created a diverse and colourful range of catwalk inspired clothing, Sarta Origine. Each seasonal collection features a limited range of modern prints, colours and unique patterns available as dresses, tops and jumpsuits as well as season items.
Our range of colourful fashionable clothing also includes a collection of sustainably sourced natural fibre clothing and accessories, Sarta Naturale. We have created an exclusive range of fashion led dresses, scarves and knitwear all made from 100% Cotton and other natural fibres.
A recent addition to Sarta&Co is a range of natural fibre bamboo socks, all designed by our Glasgow based team. Launching the brand Sock Talk UK was a conscious move towards further developing the use of natural and sustainable materials.
Sarta&Co are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our business. We have consciously moved towards adopting a zero-waste production policy. Our clothing is manufactured with no landfill contribution. All of our material off cuts are reused and made into our range of colourful hair accessories.
All our clothing is sized on British clothing standards. At Sarta&Co, everything you see has been personally fitted by our designers by using a variety of diverse body shapes. Our user-friendly reliable sizing is something we take pride in. Our design team are passionate about creating clothing you can feel good about.
